George W. Bush: The last “white male” President of the United States?

Yes, you’ve read correctly, there are no typos.  This is not to incite a discourse, but instead just an observation.  This is a very distinct possibility that can occur, the last “white male” president for our proud country, or at least for sometime to come.   The huge rally cry for “change” in this presidential campaign could very well end up as a real big change in American history.

President Bush’s job performance has been dismal.  His problems stem from his total inexperience when he took office eight years ago.  He wanted to do something good for this country, but he didn’t know what and he didn’t know how.  Following the advice from those around him, he eagerly wanted to change and overhaul the complicated situation in the Middle East and our national economy.  However, his lack of experience forced him to trust and rely totally on the advice like those of Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Greenspan.   Relying on experiences of others rather than his own ability to lead, he has guided this country into a disaster and created a sense of great despair, ultimately, triggering the beginning of what will be known as the fall of the American empire.

It is nice to see the shift of power to minorities, a change that underscores that the ugliness of racism is losing ground in this great nation.  People are finally realizing that it is the brain that counts, not race.  According to some studies, white Americans in the US will become the minority group in about 2042, not a very distant future from now.  If Obama rides the wave of “change”, and takes the White House this year as expected by most (we hope that Obama is NOT another Bush, depending heavily on those so called experienced individuals like Biden and Kerry), he will very likely be followed by female presidents, either black or white, eight years later.  By that time, some believe many outstanding politicians from other minority groups including Latinos or even Asians, will come on the national stage and compete for the office.  It would not be a surprise to see no more “white male” as President of the United States, at least for some period of time. What a “change” that would be! Blame it on President Bush’s unprecedented poor performance; the white majority of this country should humbly accept this reality.
